Cleaning

Rinse your scissors with warm water to remove impurities such as hairs. Then dry the scissors with a paper towel, especially in the area where the blades are connected by the screw. Please do not touch the paper towel, as your scissors might be impaired while doing so.

The second step is to clean and polish your scissors with our cloth. After completing the cleaning, re-check the functionality of your scissors. If it’s still not working, please re-exercise the above cleaning steps. To optimise the performance of your scissors, you must regularly clean and adjust the scissors for a good maintenance.

Adjustments

Clean the scissors with our cloth that is included in the scissor box. Merge the two blades together. Place the key into the screw. Please note that the square of the screw is accurately inserted in the rectangular opening of the blade. Now you can tighten or loosen up your scissors.

The next step is to check the right tension. Take one blade and pull up. Then let go of the blade and watch the two points of the shears. If the blades close entirely, the tention is too low. If the blade stays horizontally, the tention is too tight. None of these are correct.

When the scissors are properly adjusted, the gap remains open at the top approx. 1 to 1.5 cm. If this is not the case, adjust the tension until you reach the perfect result.

Storage

How you store your scissors is critical to both their performance and their longevity. Never use a magnetic device to remove any static. This can magnetize the blades attracting undesirable dust and particles. To dissolve this, use our leather cloth.

For protection and travel, we recommend a scissor case. All our scissors are supplied with a box. The most important consideration is that the case will keep the tips of your scissors together. Only insert one pair of scissors per box and avoid overlapping one pair with another. Always make sure your scissors are clean and completely dry before storing them.
